Humphry Davy (1778–1829, APS 1810) was a British chemist and pioneer in the field of electrochemistry. Biographical Note: Hans-Peter Eugster was a geochemist who taught at The Johns Hopkins University. He was one of the founders of the experimental petrology field and also did research in low-temperature geochemistry, salt deposition by evaporation of natural water, and the origin of metallic ore deposits.
